NRM was formed in 1994 to provide specialised network and software design and implementation services to the retail gaming and leisure markets in the UK.
Based in Hessle, East Yorkshire, the business has invested heavily in specialised engineering resources in the form of both capital equipment and people, to become one of the sector’s leading specialist suppliers. The business counts some of the UK’s leading retail gaming and leisure operators as key customers and partners.

The principals behind the business have been closely associated with the retail leisure sector for many years, and have been behind many of the advanced technological platforms in use today. In addition, the company prides itself on key staff retention, with many of the ‘NRM team’ having been with the business for over ten years. The business prides itself on a ‘can-do’ attitude and has helped establish NRM as a leading developer and operator of digital based gaming and entertainment products for the UK and international markets.

Meet the Team
Paul Whitbread
Executive Chairman
Paul is Executive Chairman of Connected Entertainment and has various other business interests.
He founded NRM Ltd in 1994 with a primary aim of developing a high integrity network and wide area gaming platform for the National Bingo Game Association.
Having first entered the gaming supply industry in 1980, his background at both a technical and commercial level within the sector provides a thorough understanding of the opportunities in applying emerging technologies to the developing retail leisure sectors.
Andrew Ludlow
Managing Director
Andrew joined NRM in December 2012 as a shareholder and Managing Director. He is the former Founder and Managing Director of Global Games, a business he developed into a market leader in the supply of reel based Club and AWP products for the UK and European gaming markets.
In 2003, he successfully led the management ‘Buy-out’ of Global Games, creating Games Media – a leading developer and operator of digital based gaming and entertainment products for the UK market. The business was successfully sold in December 2006 to Scientific Games Corporation.
In 2011, Andrew played a key role in the acquisition of Barcrest and became Managing Director for their Pub, Arcade and Bingo division. Andrew is also the Managing Director of Connected Entertainment and also holds directorships and investments in other UK gaming companies.
Kelly Roberts
Finance Director
Kelly joined NRM in May 2001 as Senior Administrator seeing her involved with all non-technical areas of NRM’s business. In 2012, Kelly was promoted to the position of Group Finance Director.
Her comprehensive knowledge of the company sees her proactively managing our HR, Finance, Administration functions & ISO9001:2015 accreditation.
Alistair Goldthorpe
Operations & Development Manager
As a degree graduate, Alistair joined NRM in January 2000 in the role of Operations Support Engineer; part of a team providing technical support to the Commercial Bingo industry for both the National Bingo Game and Digital Link System (DLS) infrastructure.
Over the course of the next 10 years, Alistair took on additional internal responsibilities including management of the company Quality Management Systems, before in 2011 becoming Operations Manager.
Still in this role, he is now responsible for both the Operations and Software Development teams and has co-ordinated the delivery and support for all software projects developed aided by his agile approach to Project Planning.
Ian Weatherill
Technical Project Manager
Since joining NRM in 2000, Ian has held several positions within NRM and worked closely delivering and establishing new innovative products for our group.
From concept, through development and launch, Ian will ensure your solution becomes a reality.
With a background in electronics and ICT, Ian is passionate about using technology to offer creative and cost-effective solutions for our customer’s needs.
Ian is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Systems Administrator (MCSA) and Licensing Specialist.
Pete Fagg
Business Development Manager
Pete joined NRM in 2001 and now has well over 20 years’ experience within the bingo and gaming industry.
He has seen and embraced significant change within the company over the years; initially gaining experience in the support of wide area linked gaming systems and then more recently using this experience to help scope and shape new developments to best suit the customer’s needs.
Covering projects from Multi progressive wide area Jackpots through to Mobile applications Pete possesses both a technical and commercial mind-set coupled with a ‘Whatever it takes’ attitude to customer delivery.
He specialises in turning concepts into deliverable realities and has been a key contributor in numerous significant project deliveries during his years at NRM. Pete also holds a Degree in Electronics Engineering from Hull University.

Connected Entertainment provides an easy to use touch-screen entertainment system called Jigsaw™. Jigsaw™ is a uniquely developed PC based software product, hosting best in class content: Music, Karaoke, Bingo, Linked Bingo, Games and In-venue Advertising.
Jigsaw™ is specifically focused to enhance the guest experience in any hospitality driven environment, including:- Holiday Parks, Hotels, Pubs & Bars, Clubs and Cruise Ships.
Our business is totally committed in engaging directly with all customers within their own specific venue environments. This ensures our product development roadmap best meets their exacting requirements whilst utilising new and emerging technologies.
Based in our purpose built Operations Centre, our dedicated technical support team provide customer support until 10pm every day of the week, closing only on Christmas Day.
